We are currently searching for an established Infrastructure Manager who is able to lead an internal team, a core network & infrastructure environment, 3rd party solution providers and technical project delivery on a local level with some budgetary management. This is an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Manager who is still happy working with on-prem technology but still keeps their eye on emerging technology that could be used as the company progress gradually towards utilising Azure Services. The current environment has a mixture of physical and virtual servers (VMware), VEEAM and Cisco kit including UCS. Experience of working in Datacentre environments is key as they have their own DC. DC build experience would be highly desirable.
Although you will be seen as a Technical Lead, you won’t need to be "hands-on" all of the time. Of course as with all IT you may need to get your hands dirty on occasions but you must be able to lead a team. Team Management experience is essential and you will be taking care of all 1-2-1’s, PDR’s, Development Plans and Performance Management. In terms of team size, if you have managed teams of 4-10 including contractors it would be highly desirable. The Infrastructure Manager will represent the region on global team calls and therefore, good internal stakeholder management and building relationships with different time zones is essential.
As the Infrastructure Manager you will be required to be in the office 4 days a week.
Key experience required for the Infrastructure Manager:
- Strong & Supportive People Management.
- Technical Project Delivery.
- Experience managing core networks and infrastructure.
- Key Technical areas: Azure, VMware, VEEAM, Windows Servers, Cisco, UCS, SAN Storage
